One of Canada’s pre-eminent artists stepped to the York University Convocation stage June 10 to receive an honorary doctor of letters degree. Internationally renowned dancer, choreographer and educator Peggy Baker was recognized for her work to raise the profile of dance across the nation, expand artistic expectations and deepen dance education. Steve Koven Trio celebrates its 20th anniversary
The Steve Koven Trio, comprising York University jazz instructors, pianist/composer Steve Koven, bassist Rob Clutton and drummer Anthony Michelli, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a new CD and performances May 2, 3, & 4 at Toronto's Jazz Bistro, reported the Canadian Jewish News April 12.
